Turkish Burgers

 

Nothing spells Turkey more than lamb. These burgers are amazing. They can be served with our minted sauce or with Tzatziki sauce.

For a traditional approach, make the sauce with plain yogurt. For a tasty alternative, try sour cream.

 

Ingredients:
 

1/2 lb ground lamb
1 tsp. Turkish Enchantment

1 tomato, diced
1/2 onion, diced
1/2 English cucumber, diced
2 pitas

2 TBSP Plain yogurt or sour cream

1 TBSP Feta (optional)
Pinch of salt and sugar (to taste)

1 tsp. dry mint or 2 tsp. fresh, chopped

 

Directions:

Preheat oven at 400° or BBQ on high.

 

Mix yogurt or sour cream & feta, with mint, salt and sugar. Set aside in the refrigerator.

Make patties shapped like a sausage. Flatten and skewer. Season with Turkish Enchantment. Grill in oven or BBQ until meat is fully cooked (about 20 mins). Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.

Serve patties in pita with yogurt sauce, tomatoes, cucumber and onions.

Serves 2.
