Spiced Pumpkin Bread


This bread recipe is perfect for breakfast. Spiced with Sultans' Delight, it can be served with butter or yogurt mixed with Moroccan Spiced Sugar.




1 tsp butter or magarine

1 tsp flour

1 cup pumpkin puree

1/2 lemon juiced

1 1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 eggs

2 1/2 cup flour + 2 TBSP

2 1/2 tsp baking soda

4 tsp Sultans' Delight

1 tsp sea salt




Preheat the oven at 350°. Grease a loaf pan or a cake pan with butter and dust with flour.


In a large bowl, whisk the pumpkin puree, lemon juice, sugar, water, oil and eggs.


In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, Sultans' Delight and the sea salt.


Slowly incorporate the flour mixture to the wet ingredients while whisking. When the mixture is fully blended, spoon into the loaf or cake pan.


Bake for 60-75 minutes. The bread will be ready when a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.


Note: You can also use muffin tins instead of a cake or loaf pan. Make sure to reduce the baking time to 45-60 minutes.
