Our Tunisian Harissa is sold in powder form which makes it more versatile and increases shelf-life. Mix what you need when you need it. The remaining powder goes back on the shelf while the prepared paste can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one month.

 

Just like horseradish, mustard and fancy ketchups, harissa paste can be served with any kind of dish. Try it on bread, with rice, on pasta, on chicken wings, with steak, on burgers, with eggs...

 

For a milder paste add more oil. For a hotter paste add less oil.

Directions:

Mix all ingredients. Paste will thicken slightly after 5 minutes. Adjust water and oil to desired consistency.

 

Storage: If storing the paste in the refrigerator, cover the surface with a thin layer of olive oil and ensure to cover with olive oil each time you use the harissa.
